WHAT IS A HIP? A HIP (Home Information Pack) is a collection of documents giving full details regarding a house that has to be prepared before a house is offered for sale. The main components are: - an index; energy performance certificate; sale statement; searches; title documents and leasehold or common hold documents where appropriate. It is proposed that any interested buyer will be able to view the documents in the HIP when making plans to view the house.
